​Homeopathics are made using two procedures: dilution and succussion (a type of jarring shake)
How to make a homeopathic “in the field”:
1. Put approximately ¼ tsp of the offending substance (venom, crushed pill, saliva, etc.) in a 1 ounce amber bottle and label the bottle with the name of the substance.
2. Fill the bottle with water (purified if available) to about a fourth-inch below the beginning of the shoulder.
3. After capping, succuss about 100 times. This can be accomplished by striking the bottle on a folded towel or the palm of your hand 100 times. 
4. Dump the water out and refill with water to about a fourth-inch below the beginning of the shoulder. The solution remaining on the sides of the bottle is enough to hold the “essence” of the substance.
5. Cap and succuss again about 100 times. 
6. Perform these filling, succussing  and dumping procedures a minimum of 12 times if dealing with a substance that is toxic or infectious. Do the procedures approximately 6 times for non-toxic or non-infectious substances.
7. ONLY IF you want to store the remedy for an extended period of time or your water may not be totally clean, add alcohol before the final succussion, otherwise a preservative is not necessary. You can use Everclear® alcohol or similar drinking 190 proof alcohol as the preservative. For the last succussion, after pouring out the water solution, refill with water to about a fourth-inch below the beginning of the shoulder, add enough alcohol to reach the shoulder. Don’t worry if the measurements aren’t exact; homeopathy is very forgiving. Cap and succuss the final time. 
9. Administer 6 drops per dose. If you have made this homeopathic, it probably was for an emergency or for a situation in which homeopathics are not available for purchase. For an acute situation, give 6 drops (3 drops for a child) every 10-15 minutes and then decrease as the symptoms decrease. For an acute condition, I always give a couple of doses after the symptoms are gone. For a chronic condition, I always continue giving the remedy at least once a day for several weeks after the symptoms are gone. If I’ve made a homeopathic from an infectious agent, I give the remedy not only to the person with the infection but to those exposed to the infection. The person with the infection gets the remedy frequently; those exposed to the infection agent but not sick, get the remedy once a day.
